Benefits
Benefits of the K-1 Visa
The K-1 Visa allows U.S. citizens to bring their foreign fiancé(e) to the U.S. with the intent to marry within 90 days of arrival. After the marriage, the beneficiary may apply for adjustment of status to become a permanent resident (Green Card). This is a faster process than other family-based visas and allows for early entry of the fiancé(e) to settle prior to marriage.
