Be a permanent resident for at least 5 years (or 3 years if married to a citizen).
Residing in the state or district where the application is filed for at least 3 months.
Not have left the U.S. for more than 6 months on a single trip during the residency period.
Basic knowledge of English and U.S. history and government.
